We love dogs, and want to allow them as long as it is safe and fun for everyone. The property is shared with other guests, ourselves, and our 2 pups, so based on our experiences we have set these boundaries to ensure everyone has an enjoyable stay.
This property is not suitable if your dog:
Is a puppy under 1 year
Has any aggression or reactivity towards other dogs or people
Has separation anxiety or is a constant barker
Is not up to date on vaccinations
Due to the property and our community having a unique setup, dogs should be kept in certain areas outside and always attended.
Dogs must be kept on leash around the landscaped area of the property where the gardens, greenhouses, fire pit, and swimming hole are. Dogs may be off leash in the front courtyard, and feel free to take them for a walk on the trails or play fetch in the arroyo (big sandy riverbed) to the side of the house. La Chihuahua casita has its own private fenced-in back yard as well.
Please pick up poop! Bags can go in the white trash bin outside the dark blue casita (La Chihuahua), or in the black trash bin at the end of the driveway.
Note that we have multiple guest casitas in close proximity. Please do not leave your pup unattended inside when you leave the property if they will bark, whine, or be destructive.
Please do your best to keep dogs off the furniture
If your dog gets muddy, please do your best to clean them off before going inside. If you need a dog towel, let us know!
Think your pup can handle the fun?! La Chihuahua, The Regal Beagle, and Sala Luna are our pet-friendly units. The giant sandy riverbed for stick throwing and romping is adjacent to the property—you’ll see it on the left when you drive in. Upon booking on Airbnb, let us know how many dogs you are bringing (2 max in La Chihuahua, 1 max in The Regal Beagle & Sala Luna), and that you’ve read our pet policy (this page!). We will send you a fee request for $20/dog/per day.
